1. Laser scar removal.
This is something I want to have done when I can afford it. It is said to reduce the look of scars to 50 / 80% and judging by the befour and after pictures, it does look effective.
What laser scar does is a laser is moved along the scar, this can vamporize or remove a layer of skin to reveal a more natural skin layer.
2. Scar creams
I have used A LOT of scar creams and find that many.. or none simply do not work, but do not fear I'm sure that some just work on other people. A friend of mine said she used 'Bio Oil' on her burn scar and she told me after 6 months of applying the ointment twice a day, the scar started to look less obvious. But with my experience I do often get fed up of seeing absolutely no effect, so after about 2 months using the ointment I saw no effect and stopped using it.
3. Foods and supplements.
My dermatoligist told me that Vitamin E is great for scars because it speeds up the healing process of the skin. So I stocked up on foods rich in the vitamin and must say, although my scars didn't really take effect, my hair, skin and nails started to grow and looked healthy. so stock up on....
Almonds
Brazil nuts
Corn oil
Cottonseed oil
Safflower oil
Peanuts
Wheat germ oil.
Good luck guys!
